Skip the sugary drinks!
Drinking soda, Diet soda, fruit drinks, or juice can give you several hundred wasted calories a day without realizing it. (Calories with little or no nutrients) Research suggests children and adults who drink soda or other sugary drinks are more likely to gain weight than those who don’t and that switching from these to water or unsweetened drinks can reduce weight. Water is best!
Is it just the sugar in these drinks that helps you gain weight? Not necessarily as the Diet sodas are “sugar free” and contain artificial sweeteners. This leads to the potential other habits developing that promote the weight gain. “I drink diet soda so can have that bag of chips.” The artificial sweeteners are still a chemical produced in a lab. Not something I am wanting to feed myself. So again drink water. Best zero calorie beverage out there and one we cannot live without. As for fruit juices. Stick to the whole fruit. It is the best way to get all the nutrients available in the fruit. Want a liquid form. Use a blender not a juicer and add some water. Less waste that way and you get the whole fruit.
