Studies have shown that people who write down what they eat and when they eat are more likely to have success at losing weight! It is also an easy way to track what foods you are eating! Many of us don’t realize what we eat during the day so writing it down is one way to monitor what we are munching on.
Do you need to measure every calorie and every gram? If you can and you want to go for it. Though I believe just having a record of WHAT you eat for every meal is beneficial. This I have found for clients is a “chore” in their opinion. “Takes to much time.” “I forget.” I say write down what you can. Just be honest with yourself and record the good and the not so good. The more information you have the better you are at achieving the goals you are truly looking to achieve.
